The web movement (WebOS, webtops)

I have been seeing the wonderful new technology/ideas coming out and there is a definite trend to web based software (termed web-ware, webOS, webtop, etc) and it goes as far as entire operating systems (with free office like applications and disk storage) on the web.

THATS RIGHT, you are no longer tied down to a single computer, access your emails & files from anywhere (not remote desktop, actual online systems). If your computer dies you just get another one or use a mates until its fixed, no worry about loss of files or emails.

This is not a new concept, eyeOS has been on to this for awhile now & have a very impressive system. Combine a webOS like eyeOS or Desktoptwo with Googles mail (and other cool google stuff)  & Zoho services (crm, database, documents, spread sheets, planner, …) and you can do anything from anywhere (perhaps except hard core gaming).

The physical computer box part is loosing importance, all you need is a web browser.

By the time I finish writing this & publish it this may be out of date or there may be many other great new things out there so jump on to google (or your favorite search engine) & see what you can find.
